When I see neurological instability, NeuroFit is my go-to referral. I haven’t seen another program quite like it.

NeuroFit is a specialized functional training program designed for adults experiencing neurological or balance challenges such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke recovery, neuropathy, MS, PTSD/trauma, or age-related balance decline.
We combine movement training + cognitive (brain) training to improve balance, mobility, coordination, reaction time, confidence, and independence in daily life.
No — NeuroFit is not physical therapy.
We are a functional fitness and neuro-movement training program. Many of our clients come to us after or alongside physical therapy to continue improving balance, strength, and daily function in a safe, guided way.
We are always happy to collaborate with your healthcare provider when appropriate.
NeuroFit is designed for adults who experience:
• unsteadiness or frequent loss of balance
• fear of falling
• slowed reactions
• difficulty walking, turning, or getting up
• memory or cognitive decline
• stress-related movement challenges
• stiffness, tremors, or gait changes
• weakness after stroke or neurological disorders
We also welcome caregivers and spouses to attend sessions.
Your screening includes:
✔ a friendly guided movement + balance assessment
✔ fall-risk screening
✔ reaction + coordination testing
✔ mobility + strength review
✔ personalized recommendations
You’ll also have time to ask questions and discuss goals.
There is no pressure and no high-intensity exercise. We move only at your comfort level.
Yes — safety is our first priority.
All training is slow, guided, and fully adapted to your ability level.
Exercises can be done with support, seated, or modified as needed. If something doesn’t feel right, we change it.
If you have specific medical concerns, we recommend consulting your physician as well.
BlazePods are light-based visual cues used for dual-task training, meaning the brain and body work together at the same time.
Research shows that combining thinking + movement can improve:
✔ balance
✔ coordination
✔ reaction time
✔ gait control
✔ confidence
✔ cognitive processing
They are safe, simple, and… honestly, a little fun.
Not at all.
Most people who start NeuroFit are deconditioned, scared of falling, stiff, weak, or unsure what they can do.
That’s exactly why this program exists.
We meet you exactly where you are, every session.
Absolutely — and we encourage it.
Caregivers are welcome to observe, participate, or simply support. Many appreciate learning how to safely help at home.
Typical fitness focuses on muscles.
NeuroFit focuses on the brain + nervous system working with the body.
We train:
✔ balance & gait
✔ posture & stability
✔ reaction time
✔ nervous-system regulation
✔ fall-prevention strategies
✔ real-life movement (floor transitions, standing up, turning, reaching, stepping, etc.)
It is not loud, chaotic, or high-intensity.
It is calm, supportive, structured training.
Most clients benefit from 2–3 sessions per week, especially at the beginning.
However, we will help you choose a plan that fits your:
✔ goals
✔ budget
✔ ability level
✔ schedule
Consistency matters more than intensity.
Every person is different, but many clients report positive changes such as:
• improved stability
• greater confidence walking
• less fear of falling
• smoother movement
• better coordination
within 4–8 weeks of consistent training.
We offer several training options depending on your goals and needs. Pricing is reviewed after your screening, once we understand what level of support is appropriate.
There is no obligation to enroll.
At this time, NeuroFit is a private-pay program, and insurance is not billed directly.
We provide both in-person & virtual sessions at We Care Wellness Center in Hayden, ID. Virtual sessions are held on the Rutley Method app over video chat. We encourage your caregiver to be present during your virtual sessions.
